A little bit about me.
I started riding in grade 3, riding my BMX to school and I had always swam at school. Then in grade 6, with the help of Little Aths, I discovered I could run. It didn't take me long to put the 3 together and at the age of 12 I became a triathlete! I have been competing for 6 years now.
I was given a mountain bike for the Great Victorian Bike Ride when I was 14 and I started racing in the school road and mountain bike riding events, coming second in the state for mountain biking. I continued with triathlons until this year when I started to race the local critiriums and did really well, regularly placing in the top 10 in A grade races.
My mountain bike has always been used on the odd occasion, but recently I was asked to fill in for a mountain bike race with TORQ Australia. I was to be the 3rd part of a 3 man team and it was only meant to be for 1 race out of a 4 race event. When I loved every second of it, I knew I had found my new passion. I place in the top 25 for fastest laps and our team came 3rd in our category! The guys kept me in as part of the winning formula and we just came 1st in round 2.
My goal for this year is to continue with my training and build up for the National Points Series (NPS)for mountain bike XC.
